 March 15,2025 Been a long week, a bit under the weather but more on that later. Last Saturday we took a ride on the west side of Page and ended up at Glen Canyon National Park leading to Lake Powell. Our senior pass once again saved us $30 entrance fee. Probably saved over $500 with this $10 card at all the National Parks. I was amazed once inside that as you approached the lake you could drive most anywhere in the sand hills. At least it looked that way by all the tracks. The lake was beautiful but the water level, at this time of the year, is quite low. There were a few campers on the beach but you could have several acres to yourself if you wanted.  February 6, 2025 We arrived at our campsite near Lake Powell on Saturday. Brand new campground connected to the marina.  Diane said it looked like a golf course with all the green artificial turf. Facing the mountains with beautiful views all around. Boat storage below campground. Flat bottom boats up to 100 feet long and 24 foot wide.   On Tuesday we took a short drive into Page, AZ and on to the Carl Hayden Visitor center by Glen Canyon Dam & Bridge. Similar to the Hoover Dam it is massive. You cannot walk across the dam like at Hoover but you can walk on the bridge to get great shots and view of the dam.  This guy is either cutting grass or scraping up the algae on the surface above the generators at the bottom of the dam.  Glen Canyon dam If you are standing on the bridge when a semi goes by everything shakes.  February 226, 2025   Thought I would add some more pictures of the Petrified National Forest we visited again this week. It is amazing to see all the petrified trees that cover the country side. This entire forest was covered in sediment and for a million years the trees slowly transformed into rock. Through erosion the petrified wood was exposed.                               Agate Bridge; petrified tree.
