We arrived at our campsite near Lake Powell on Saturday. Brand new campground connected to the marina. Diane said it looked like a golf course with all the green artificial turf. Facing the mountains with beautiful views all around.

On Tuesday we took a short drive into Page, AZ and on to the Carl Hayden Visitor center by Glen Canyon Dam & Bridge. Similar to the Hoover Dam it is massive. You cannot walk across the dam like at Hoover but you can walk on the bridge to get great shots and view of the dam.

This guy is either cutting grass or scraping up the algae on the surface above the generators at the bottom of the dam.

If you are standing on the bridge when a semi goes by everything shakes.

Yesterday we took a tour to Lower Antelope Canyon on the Navajo Nation Reservation. A bit expensive but well worth it. Tour is only 1 to 1.5 hours. We had 11 people in our group and from all over the world. Some from Italy, Asia, Norway, Seattle, and us from Wisconsin. Our guide, Jo, was native Navajo. You first climbed down several flight of stairs, then a ladder type staircase to get to the bottom of the canyon. In some places the path was just wide enough for one shoe and you better watch your head (ask Diane). It meandered from right to left and around the corners for maybe half mile. The sunlight was peeking into the canyon showcasing natures art. Would recommend this tour for everyone.
