Captains Log, Day 74
This week we took a drive south of Moab to see Wilson Arch. It lies along Hwy 191 and they have pull offs for parking. I got out and tried climbing up to the arch but there was too much sand on the stone face for this old guy. Got a few pictures though.
On Tuesday we headed into the back country to explore. Expecting one thing but getting something else. Another adventure. We headed down 10 mile road which was a hell of a lot longer than 10 miles. There was plenty of stone ledges and rock walls to climb over. We did end up on a ledge overlooking the Green River far below. It was a beautiful sunny day and the views were spectacular. We also got lost in the sand dunes not being able to find our way out. Ended up driving on the top of a dune with wheels on each side of the peak. Eventually making our way out. It was a five hour trek but a great time.
