Our campsite at Cotton Hill Campgrounds in George. There was a film crew aboard one boat filming while one person was fishing. There were two chase boats following also. They would go along the shoreline filming as this guy was casting. I did not see him catch any fish and wondered how many hours they have to film to get a half hour show. They were on the lake all day by us which was just a small portion of the lake.

A good number of bass boats, this one connected with the film crew.

We have traveled from Georgia, and now back in Alabama but on the same lake as last week. We are now at White Oak Creek Campground. The lakes are Walter F. George/George W. Andrews Lakes. These lakes are part of the US Army Corps of Engineers Government Property.

We have stayed at a number of COE parks, each one well maintained and laid out for easy access. With our Senior Pass the cost per night is in the $13 to $14 range. Most are in the middle of nowhere and hard to find. I purchased a book last year called Camping with the Corps of Engineers which can point you in the general direction. The web site Recreation.gov is a great tool for getting maps of the campgrounds and site information.
