March 25, 2021 We are at Sheltowee  Trace Adventure Resort between Williamsburg and Corbin Kentucky. Small RV park that has a large area for group tent camping and picnicking. They also have  canoe trips and zip line in season. A section with small cabins and another area with covered wagons you can rent for a night.  We are located on the Copperhead Trail which is a great ride for anyone on a motorcycle. It twists and turns through the hillside. It is even a great ride in the Jeep. As we drove the Trail we ended up at the Cumberland Falls State Park. Yesterday we decided to hike the area, what a great place to visit nature.  The water falls is 125 feet wide by 65 feet high. Second only to Niagara Falls. We were amazed at the amount of trash that comes over the falls and ends up along the shore. Maybe I should be amazed because there is so much trash along the sides of the road throughout Kentucky. Guess nobody cares on how it looks to others coming into their state.  The hike was alo

Sky Lift  March 19, 2021 Today, in the rain and fog we decided to head back into Gatlinburg to walk the Sky Bridge. (Diane saw it on a commercial last night, we didn't know about it until then) This bridge is the longest suspension bridge in North America. It stretches 650' across a deep valley in a single span.  At the mid-point it is 150' above the valley. In the middle of the bridge there is a section 30 feet long made of glass so you can look straight down as you walk over it. Totally different perspective.  Because of the weather, Diane and I were the only ones on the bridge as we walked to the other end. On a nice sunny day it may be wall to wall people, so the shitty weather worked to our benefit.  To get to the bridge you had to take a ski lift to the top. Because of the rain, you had a wet ass by the time you get to the top and again coming back down sitting on the wet benches.

Great Smoky Mountains 3-17-21 We arrived at the Gatlinburg KOA on Saturday. Our GPS took us the back way to the RV Park. It was a narrow and winding road with single lane bridges and no shoulder. Diane was very nervous. When we got to the park the attendant said that several others ended up on the same route and one guy was almost run off the road.  We are about 20 miles from Gatlinburg and made the drive into town on Sunday. Big Mistake! It was traffic backed up for blocks. There is one main traffic light in the middle of town and it took forever to make your way through. Then you had to come back and do it all over again.  There was no shortage of people in town as both sides of the street were wall to wall people. Maybe 30 percent wearing masks. We did not stop and decided to come back Tuesday hoping it would be less crowded.  On Monday we decided to take a drive looking for back roads into the mountains. We found it, Halls Top Road. This dirt single lane road weaved it way up and

March 17, 2021 After we left White Oak Creak campground we drove to Stone Mountain, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. I hate driving through these big cities with all the traffic and construction. But we made it through with only one mistake that took us in the wrong direction (my mistake, as I had two GPS systems and did not follow either). A couple of miles out of our way but we got back on track.  As we drove by the campground at Stone Mountain it looked very nice. Little did we realize where our site was. We did not need sewer, just water and electric, so we were at the end of the campground. After a very steep turn downhill, the road was narrow and unkept. Deep holes and heaved blacktop. It was so narrow, we had to ask one camper to move his truck so we could get through to our site. After a few more tight turns we spotted our pull through site that wasn't level. The site did overlook a small lake, which made it livable for two days. We did get set up and everything worked out. I
