February 15, 2021

We have been at the Pedido Key RV & Marina Resort since February 9th. There is a sand beach right outside our front window and we have sat on the beach for a total of maybe 2 hours. The weather has not  cooperated. We have had a lot of rainy days this past week and colder temperatures.

We have hooked up with Dale and Judy  for dinner a few nights. Gary & Patty (Judy's sister & husband) along with Cindy and Larry ( Judy's sister and her boyfriend) have joined us also.

This was taken at the Sunliner Diner, which looks like a 50s diner.

This was the "Hangout". Huge place in Alabama (where Dale & Judy stay)
The DJ station is covered with Pez Dispensers.

The place is big and when Mardi Gras is in full swing Dale said this place is packed. Outside they have multiple places for bands to set up.

We hoped to go to the Space & Science Museum but I told Diane she did not need an ID. Well the Museum is on the Military base and everyone needs an ID. So we postponed it until today and as we headed there found out it was closed due to Washington Birthday.  We are now shooting for Thursday.

We are still waiting for our wine to come in at the Military base that Gary ordered for us from the San Sabastian Winery in St. Augustine, Florida. Hope it comes before we leave or it will have to be shipped up.

Today was no different from others, seems like we have gotten a lot of rain this year. But it was a heavy rainfall around 12:30 pm. News was also talking of possible tornados with the storm. Thank God we did not see any. But our campsite is underwater, about 4 inches.

The resort has had and continue to have get-togethers in their activity center. Most RV'ers don't wear mask and we can't tell what 6 feet apart is either. They had a Valentine lunch with egg omelet, grits and shrimp and fruit plus dessert and Bloody Mary's, all at no charge. Most other dinners they put on only cost $3 per person.

Not much else going on.

I'm bored.
